Happy Effin’ Tuesday, Jerks.

I’ve written this post like, 5 times. I even attempted a post with a fake druid talent that would attempt to RickRoll people. These are the lows I have contemplated recently.

I do want you to see this.

Even if you’re not a football fan–you have to appreciate what happened. It was a gorgeous goal. It may have put Wayne Rooney’s season back on track.

I hope it does. I have an affinity for ManU and if ya don’t like it…I’m sorry. It’s the way the mana cupcakes crumble.

But–on a serious note–if you’re feeling serious: Don’t read after the break. It’s going to not make you happy.

The Very Afternoony Fridaily

You have been disconnected from the server. With the launch of 4.0.6 Blizzard made some changes. Yeah…a few.

One of them that has had me scratching my head was the new UI latency stats. “Home” vs “World”.

Here it is from a blue poster:

“In essence, ‘Home’ refers to your connection to your realm server. This connection sends chat data, auction house stuff, guild chat and info, some addon data, and various other data. It is a pretty slim connection in terms of bandwidth requirements.

‘World’ is a reference to the connection to our servers that transmits all the other data… combat, data from the people around you (specs, gear, enchants, etc.), NPCs, mobs, casting, professions, etc. Going into a highly populated zone (like a capital city) will drastically increase the amount of data being sent over this connection and will raise the reported latency”

You can check out the full post here.

I’m guessing lag is responsible for why I can’t shift out of roots…

You didn’t think I was done with that yet–didya?!?

Feral Druid: 4.0.6 some QQ for your PewPew

Patch 4.0.6 is nearly upon us–and I’m still trying to wrap my head around exactly what the deal is with one significant change that is happening with druids.

Shapeshifts: Entering or leaving a shapeshift no longer cancels root effects. It continues to cancel movement slowing effects.

Right. So–let me get this straight–a druid “move” that has been in the game since–I dunno–forever is now suddenly being taken away. What for? Are druid cats shredding up arena? Are the new non-trees shifting away from their pursuers to heal the entire BG and swing the tide in their favor?

I’m kind of at a loss to even discuss this change in light of some of the others. At first blush it seems to me to be a bit more of the homogenization of classes. More to the heart of the matter for me–is that it is taking away an extremely unique part of the class I love.
